The laundry room was moved from the basement to the main level pantry off the kitchen, and designed to offer easier access and a bright, efficient room. Custom cabinetry allowed us to make the washer and dryer invisible in this tiny space.
We converted the second floor guest bedroom into a library and office by adding tailor-made wall-to-wall bookshelves.
Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves with brass library lighting were added to the upstairs hall by maximizing a somewhat awkward landing. We treated them with the same deep-colored high gloss paint finish as the library, expanding its capacity and connecting the spaces with French doors.
